The RCMP/HRP Integrated Major Crimes Unit has arrested a 50-year-old man in relation to the disappearance of Reita Jordan.

Yesterday, at approximately 2:35 p.m., investigators from the Major Crimes Unit arrested the man on Brunswick Street in Halifax.  He remains in police custody.

In late March, police received a report of a missing 34-year-old woman from Halifax who was last seen on March 19th, 2013 by friends in Halifax. She has not been seen or heard from since.

Reita Louise Jordan is described as a white female, 5’6′, 123 lbs. She has medium length dark hair and usually wears hoop earrings. She also has a heart shaped tattoo on her left bicep, heart on her left chest and tribal tattoo on her ankle.

Police have been checking with local businesses and police agencies as well as family and friends of the missing woman but have not been able to locate her.
