The RCMP/HRP Integrated Major Crimes Unit has charged a 50-year-old man in relation to the disappearance of Reita Jordan.
Paul Trevor Calnen of Hammonds Plains has been charged with Second Degree Murder and will be appearing in Halifax Provincial Court today.
Yesterday, at approximately 2:35 p.m., investigators from the Major Crimes Unit arrested the man on Brunswick Street in Halifax. He remains in police custody.
In late March, police received a report of a missing 34-year-old woman from Halifax who was last seen on March 19th, 2013 by friends in Halifax. She has not been seen or heard from since.
