U.S. pick-up truck driver dies in a fatal single vehicle collision in Cornwallis

Annapolis District RCMP are investigating a fatal collision that occurred earlier today in Cornwallis. 

On June 20th, at approximately 4:30 a.m., Annapolis County RCMP responded to a single vehicle collision on Highway 101 at exit 23A. Preliminary investigation revealed a pickup truck traveling westbound had left the roadway and struck an embankment. The Bear River Volunteer Fire Dept assisted RCMP at the scene and used the jaws of life to remove the driver from the vehicle. 

The driver, a 68-year-old man from the United States, was pronounced dead at the scene. A collision analyst is on scene and the investigation is continuing.
