Red Ford Explorer woman driver dies in a fatal traffic accident at 9200 Club Creek

Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in the 9200 block of Club Creek about 3:30 a.m. today (June 21).

The female victim, 25, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her identity is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant S. Sorge and Senior Police Officer S. Martinez reported:

The victim was driving a red Ford Explorer southbound at a high rate of speed on Club Creek when she ran a stop sign at the intersection of the Southwest Freeway service road. The Explorer then crashed into a support wall under the Southwest Freeway, killing the victim on impact.

No other vehicles were involved in the accident.
