Richmond County RCMP are releasing the name of a crash victim who succumbed to his injuries.

On Friday June 21st, at approximately 11:09 p.m., Richmond County RCMP responded to the scene of a single motor vehicle collision on Smith’s Road in Grand River. The six occupants of the vehicle, ranging from 13 to 22 years of age, were transported to the Strait Richmond Hospital and five of the occupants were later released. A 17-year-old male from Chapel Island was subsequently transported to the QEII hospital in Halifax via LifeFlight. 

Allan Lafford, 17, of Potlotek First Nations passed away yesterday at the QEII. The investigation into the collision is continuing.
