Ft. McMurray man Liban Hussein dies of gunshot wound

Calgary police continue to investigate a shooting incident that took place in the downtown early Saturday morning.
 
At approximately 2:30 a.m., on Saturday, June 29, 2013, police were called to the 800 block of 8 Ave. S.W., in response to citizen reports of hearing shots fired. Upon arrival, officers found two men suffering from gunshot wounds. Both were transported to hospital in life-threatening condition. Upon arrival at hospital, one of the victims was declared deceased; the other remains in critical condition.
 
The Homicide Unit was called in to investigate.
 
Following an autopsy earlier today, the Medical Examiner was able to confirm that Liban Hussein, 24, of Ft. McMurray, died as a result of a gunshot wound.
 
As the investigation into this incident continues.
