Shediac RCMP have charged a 23-year-old woman after a stabbing incident on the weekend.

RCMP were called to a Shediac campground on July 7, 2013, at approximately 4:00 a.m., because of a dispute involving three people, two women and one man.  A 23-year-old woman has been charged as the result of a stabbing incident. A 36-year-old Shediac area man was injured during the incident.  He was treated for his injury and released later the same day.

Lorraine Landry from Dieppe, N.B. has been charged with assault with a weapon causing bodily harm, assault on a police officer, and mischief to property under $5,000 dollars.

Landry appeared in provincial court on July 8 and was remanded in custody. She is scheduled to appear for a bail hearing on July 10 at 9:30 a.m.

The investigation is ongoing.
