Houston police invetigate about the woman found deceased at 8500 Tate Street

Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the death of a woman found at 8500 Tate Street about 2:30 p.m. on Monday (July 8).

The victim suffered wounds to her upper torso and apparent blunt trauma to her head.  Her identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. 

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant T. Richardson and Officer I. Ulloa reported: 

HPD patrol officers responded to a person down call at the above address and found the victim in a ditch on the side of the street.  She was partially covered with what appeared to be a comforter and a towel. 

The investigation is pending the victim’s cause of death.
