A Calgary man has been charged in relation to allegations involving a pre-teen girl.

The incidents are alleged to have happened in the early 1990s, involving inappropriate sexual behaviour and touching.

As a result of the investigation, Stephen Laurence Huggett, 59, of Calgary, has been charged under the 1992 Criminal Code of Canada, with one count each of invitation to sexual touching with a child under 14 years and sexual interference with a child under 14 years.

He was arrested without incident on the afternoon of Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2013, and released on bail early this morning. His next court appearance is scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 29, 2013.

It is believed the victim met the accused through her mother, who was an acquaintance of Huggett.
