On August 2, HRP referred an allegation of sexual assault made by a female against a male constable with HRP. The allegations relate to an incident occurring at the woman’s home in early July. On August 6, SIRT began the investigation that led to today’s arrest. The officer has been released on a promise to appear with conditions. He is due to appear in Provincial Court in Halifax on September 26, 2013.
