Texas man Jeremy Michael Hill dies in a fatal shooting incident at 6300 Richmond Avenue

Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of one man and wounding of two other men at 6300 Richmond Avenue about 5:30 a.m. on Sunday (Sept. 1).

One victim, Jeremy Michael Hill, 23, of Freeport, Texas, was pronounced dead at the scene.  The two other victims were transported to an area hospital with non life threatening wounds.

HPD Homicide Division Senior Police Officers R. Cervantes and S. Straughter reported:

Mr. Hill and two other friends were in a vehicle and turning to enter a business parking lot when at least two unknown black male suspects ran up to the vehicle and, for reasons unknown, fired shots into the car.  Hill’s two friends were wounded, but managed to get out the vehicle and run into the business parking lot at 6333 Richmond.  Hill, a backseat passenger, was fatally shot as he tried to exit the rear passenger door.
