On July 31, 2010 at approximately 12:00 pm, Caledonia District 11 RCMP responded to a fatal motorcycle collision on Highway 895 in Elgin, N.B. Preliminary investigation reveals that the motorcycle was travelling southbound on highway 895 when his motorcycle left the road while negotiating a turn. The motorcyclist, a 38-year-old-man from Quispamsis, N.B. was pronounced dead at the scene. The name of the deceased is not being released pending the notification of the next of kin.

An RCMP collision re-constructionist was on scene investigating the cause of the collision.

The investigation is ongoing.
