The RCMP is investigating a motor vehicle crash in which a man died and another one was injured.

On September 9, 2013, around 3 p.m., members were called to the scene on Highway 2, near Perth-Andover.

The driver, a 61-year-old Ontario man, died at the scene as a result of his injuries. His passenger, also from Ontario, was transported to the hospital in Edmundston. He is in a stable condition.

The preliminary investigation indicates the crash occurred when the vehicle left the road and struck the guard rail. After the impact, the vehicle rolled over before coming to rest on the roadway.

Alcohol and speed are not believed to have been factors in the crash.

The investigation is on-going.
