Toronto coach David Johnson charged with sexual assault

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of an arrest in a child sexual assault investigation.

It is alleged that:

– between October 2003, and July 2013, a man sexually assaulted three children, now under the age of 16, multiple times

On Friday, September 6, 2013, David Johnson, 64, of Toronto, was arrested.

He is charged with:

1) four counts of Sexual assault
2) four counts of Sexual interference
3) Invitation to sexual touching

He is scheduled to appear in court at 2201 Finch Avenue West, in courtroom 206, on Tuesday September 10, 2013, at 10 a.m.

David Johnson coached and volunteered with girls’ softball teams and boys’ hockey teams in North York, from approximately 25 years ago until approximately 10 years ago.

Police believe there may be other victims.
