A 31-year old former Grimsby Youth Pastor has been arrested and charged, following an investigation by the Niagara Regional Police Service, Sexual Assault Unit.
Andrew Riach was arrested at his Windsor residence by members of the Niagara Regional Police Service on September 10, 2013 for Sexual Assault and Extortion.
The Sexual Assault Unit initiated the investigation after the young adult female reported the incidents to Police in May 2013. The alleged sexual assault occurred during the time that Riach was the Head Youth Pastor at Lakemount Worship Centre in Grimsby between 2006-May 2013.
The accused is awaiting a Bail Hearing on September 11, 2013 at the Robert S.K. Welch Provincial Courthouse, 59 Church Street, St. Catharines.
