Donel Edward HuntsberryA suspect wanted in the fatal shooting of a man at 4210 Madden Lane about 8:40 p.m. on Monday (Sept. 9) is now in custody. 

Donel Edward Huntsberry (b/m, DOB: 7-17-66), was arrested on Thursday (Sept. 12) without incident.  He is charged with murder in the 228th State District Court, accused in the killing of his uncle, Kevin Jackson, 56.  Jackson was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he died the next day.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant R. Odom and Senior Police Officer M. Coleman reported:  

Huntsberry got into an argument with Jackson at the above address, which they both share. According to several family members, Huntsberry got angry, produced a gun and shot Jackson in the chest.  Immediately after the shooting, Huntsberry left the location with the gun.  Jackson was transported to the hospital and later died.
