On Thursday evening, August 5, 2010 RCMP members from District 1 with the assistance of the J Division Drug Section executed a search warrant in a home in Blacks Harbour. The warrant was executed as a result of several weeks of investigation into drug trade activities.
Police seized a quantity of marijuana which could have potentially produced an excess of 5000 joints. They also seized drug paraphernalia and over $4000 in cash.
A 33-year-old-man and a 39-year-old woman were arrested and later released. They will be appearing in court at a later date to face drug trafficking charges.
