Two Hamilton women robbed in the bathroom at Pollack Grocerteria

Hamilton Police are seeking the assistance of the public in identifying a man who robbed two women in a public washroom at Jackson Square and a local grocery store today.
Today, at approximately 10:30 a.m. a 65 yr. old woman was approached by a man in the women’s public washroom at Jackson Square.  The male blocked the door preventing her from leaving.  The victim struggled with the suspect who at some point received a cut to her hand.  The suspect then fled.  A second female was confronted by the same suspect approximately 10 minutes later in another women’s public washroom at the east end of the mall.   In this incident the suspect pointed a knife at the 29 yr. old female and demanded she turn over her purse. 

There was a struggle and the suspect fled empty handed.  The victim screamed which alerted a citizen who chased after the suspect but was unable to apprehend him.

Hamilton Police also believe the same suspect was involved in a grocery store robbery that occurred earlier in the morning, at approximately 9:00 a.m. at the Pollack Grocerteria at 276 Kenilworth Ave. N.  In this incident the suspect was sprayed with a green dye before fleeing the store. 
Hamilton Police are releasing a video image of the suspect and are seeking the assistance of the public in identifying and locating him.  

The suspect is described as:

• Male
• White
• 45-50 yrs.
• Long grey hair
• 5’9” – 6’2”
• Slim build
• Wearing a yellow t-shirt and blue jeans
• Possibly with green dye on him
