Shaffin Shariff and Sara Rogerson arrested for drug trafficking in Whitby

DRPS Central West Division Target Team officers seized cocaine, cash and a luxury vehicle during an investigation in Whitby last week.

On Friday August 6, 2010, as a result of an ongoing investigation, members of the Central West Division Target Team with the assistance of the DRPS Drug Enforcement Unit executed a search warrant at a residence on Vineyard Avenue in Whitby, yielding a total of over 518 grams of cocaine, worth $51,840. A 2008 Cadillac Escalade worth $45,000 and almost $1,500 cash were also seized from the accused.

Officers had observed the male participate in drug transactions from his vehicle at various locations in and around Whitby and continued with their investigation until arrests were made last week.

Shaffin SHARIFF, age 33, of Vineyard Avenue, Whitby is charged with: Trafficking a Controlled Substance X2 and Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking X2. The accused was held for a bail hearing.

Sara ROGERSON, age 27 of Vineyard Avenue, Whitby is charged with: Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking and was released on an Appearance Notice.
