RCMP are investigating a collision involving a pedestrian and vehicle in Windsor Junction.

At 8:23 a.m., RCMP responded to a call that a pedestrian was on Peter Thomas Drive when she was struck by a small SUV traveling southeast. As a result of the collision, the female was killed. The 17-year-old driver of the vehicle was not injured. 

Police are currently on scene and continuing with the investigation. A RCMP traffic analyst has been called in to assist. The road will be closed until further notice. Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes.

The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
