At 8:00 p.m. on Friday August 6, 2010, officers from the Drugs and Guns Unit in company with officers from the Emergency Services Unit executed search warrants at two rental warehouses located at 4325 County Rd #42 in the city of Windsor.

Upon entering the two warehouses officers discovered a large scale marihuana grow operation which included plants in various stages of growth and large quantities of electrical equipment consistent with such an operation. Officers also were able to determine that the Hydro equipment had been tampered with and the legal Hydro meter had been bypassed. The structure of the building had also been altered as holes had been cut into the roof and walls to allow for venting.

It should be noted that this seizure goes on record as the largest single grow operation ever dismantled by the Windsor Police Service. The investigation revealed that three suspects were responsible for the grow operation.
