Three Winnipeg suspects charged with charged with second degree murder in the death investigation of Jamie Cook

On October 30, 2013 at approximately 8:00 a.m., police and other emergency personnel responded to the 400 block of King Street to check on the well-being of an unresponsive male.

Jamie Cook, 23 years of Winnipeg was located deceased.

Members of the Homicide Unit continued with the investigation and as a result 3 suspects were identified and arrested for their alleged involvement. 

It was learned that the victim and the 3 suspects had met up earlier in the evening and had gone to the residence of one of the suspects to socialize.  At some point the three accused became upset with the victim and proceeded to physically assault him about the body, causing the injuries that ultimately led to his death.
 
Lyle James Lester Letandre 19 years, Aaron Freedom Bluestar Meekis 27 years & Kelvin Edwin George Orvis 27 years all of Winnipeg have each been charged with 2nd Degree Murder.

All three were detained at the Provincial Remand Centre.
