In a latest bombshell revelation, Toronto Mayor Rob Ford has unambiguously admitted having had smoked crack cocaine almost a year ago in a “drunken stupor.” While at City Hall on Tuesday, Mr. Ford stated that “Yes, I have smoked crack cocaine but … am I an addict? No. Have I tried it? Probably in one of my drunken stupors, probably approximately about a year ago.” He alleged that “I answered your question. You ask the question properly, I’ll answer it. Yes, I’ve made mistakes. All I can do now is apologize and move on.”

Even though reporters had numerously inquired Mr. Ford if he has used crack, the mayor implied that he was did not discuss his use of the drug because the question had not been put to him. He explained that “I wasn’t lying. You didn’t ask the correct questions. No, I am not an addict. And no, I do not do drugs. I made mistakes in the past and all I can do is apologize, but it is what it is. I can’t change the past. I apologize to my family, my friends, my colleagues, and the people of this great city.”

During his confession, Mr. Ford estimated that he used crack “about a year ago,” asserting that he does not know exactly. He alleged that “I don’t even remember.” On the other hand, mayor’s brother, Councillor Doug Ford, arrived a short while after at City Hall and alleged that he had not heard what the mayor said but was heading upstairs to his brother’s office.
