RNC charged St. John’s man in a sexual assault incident

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) Criminal Investigation Division have arrested and charged an adult male in relation to a sexual assault which occurred at a residence in the west in of St. John’s.

On Saturday, November 2, 2013, at approximately 7:20 am, officers from RNC Patrol Services, Criminal Investigation Division and Forensic Identification Services responded to the report of a disturbance at a residence in the west end of St. John’s. The female victim was transported to hospital with non life threatening injuries, treated and released.

A 34 year old St. John’s male has been arrested and charged with sexual assault causing bodily harm and uttering threats to cause bodily harm. He has been held to appear in court.
