41-year-old Canadian Actress, Genevieve Sabourin, has been found guilty of stalking, attempted aggravated harassment, harassment and attempted contempt of court by a New York judge. The decision came only a day after Sabourin was sentenced to 30 days in prison for contempt of court. During the trial, 55-year-old Baldwin testified that Sabourin had overwhelmed him with flood of unwanted phone calls and emails. He completely refuted having had any relationship with the suspect and accused her of subjecting him and his wife Hilaria to “dangerous” harassment.

The actor confessed that he had met Sabourin at a lunch with a mutual friend in 2000, because he was filming in Montreal at the time. He admitted to have met her again in 2010 to offer her career advice, which is the time Sabourin claims they had sexual tryst. The actress alleged in court that she only wanted to ask him why he did not want to see her anymore.

Consequently, Judge Thomas Mandelbaum concluded on Thursday that she did not have any right to pursue Baldwin given that she already knew would be unwelcome. He established that she had waged a “relentless and escalating campaign of threats” against the Baldwins and had shown an “utter lack of respect” for the law. Sabourin seemed composed but defiant at the time when verdict was announced, as she informed the judge again that she was “innocent” and had not done anything wrong. Baldwin is the star of movies including Beetlejuice and The Hunt for Red October.
