After an intensive week-long investigation that has resulted in few leads, Vancouver Police Robbery investigators are now turning to the public for assistance to help solve a violent armed robbery.

Around 12:15 p.m. on August 17th, a 69 year old man left a local business and walked east through the 2900 block of W. Broadway. He didn`t get far before two men approached him and allegedly forced him at gunpoint into a waiting black pick up truck driven by a woman in her 20`s. The truck drove off with the man confined inside and after several minutes, stopped near the south lane of the 2700 block of W. 13th.

It was at this point that the captors allegedly demanded money and struck the man over the head with a metal object before pepper-spraying him in the face and pushing him out of the truck. As the truck sped off, the man called 9-1-1 for help and police and ambulance arrived. He was taken to hospital for treatment of an abrasion to his head and the effects of pepper-spray.

The suspect vehicle is described as a newer model black pick-up truck with four doors, tan leather interior and tinted windows.

Suspect #1 driving the truck is described as a white female in her 20`s, with blonde hair in a ponytail.

Suspect # 2 is described as a white male in his 20’s, 200 lbs, about 6’0" tall, with short blonde hair.

Suspect #3 is described as a darker skinned male, also in his mid 20’s, about 5’10" tall, slim build, with short dark hair.
