On Tuesday, June 1, 2010, police responded to a call for a robbery in the Mount Pleasant Road/Eglinton Avenue East area.
It is alleged that:
– a man approached a 79-year-old man and told him to get on the floor,
– he struck the victim in the back of the head with a blunt instrument,
– the victim fell to the floor and was struck two more times in the head while he was on the ground,
– the suspect stole the victim’s wallet and fled the area.
A Crime Stoppers tip has led to the identity of the suspect wanted in this investigation.
Thushjanthan Vigneswaran, 24, of Toronto, is wanted for Assault with a Weapon.
