The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary is continuing to investigate an assault that occurred on George Street, St. Johns, NL on Saturday, August 28, 2010.

At approximately 3:30 AM the RNC received a call from the Ambulance Department advising that they were en route to a report of an assault in front of Dooleys on George Street. Members of the RNC Street Patrol Division responded immediately. Subsequently, a twenty-four year old male was sent to hospital with non life threatening injuries as a result of knife wounds.

The RNC Major Crime Unit is lead to believe that there are two suspects in relation to this incident.

The first suspect is thought to be a black male, slim build, in his early twenties, approximately 59 with a very short dark hair. He was wearing a short sleeved baggy white shirt and either a Yankee hat or Yankee logo on his shirt.

The second suspect is thought to be non-white, possibly Hispanic or Arabic decent with light brown complexion, approximately 510, slim build and dark spiked hair. He was wearing a white shirt, possibly polo style shirt.
