Mississauga resident Shady Zreik faces several firearm and drug related charges

The seized firearmThe Peel Regional Police S.T.E.P. (Strategic and Tactical Enforcement Policing) program have completed an investigation that resulted in the arrest of a Mississauga resident, and the seizure of a loaded gun and a quantity of drugs.

On Sunday, December 15, 2013, S.T.E.P. officers with assistance of the Tactical Unit executed a search warrant at a residence on Anneliese Avenue in Mississauga. Within the home investigators located and seized the following:

– .22 calibre semi-automatic handgun with 6 rounds of ammunition in the magazine

– 7 ounces of cocaine;

– 31 grams of marihuana; and, 

– $305 (CAD).

Police arrested Shady Zreik, a 25 year-old resident of Mississauga. Zreik faces numerous firearm and drug related charges. He appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on December 15, 2013, and has been held in custody pending a Special Bail Hearing.
