Morgan Rielly to Stay with Toronto Maple Leafs

David Nonis, Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Toronto Maple Leafs, announced Wednesday that defenceman Morgan Rielly will remain with the Maple Leafs and not be loaned to Team Canada for the 2014 IIHF World Junior Championship in Malmo, Sweden.

Rielly, 19, has registered 10 points (one goal, nine assists) and six penalty minutes in 27 games with the Maple Leafs this season. The native of Vancouver, British Columbia has averaged 17:58 of ice-time per game and scored his first NHL goal on December 16 at Pittsburgh.
