On Tuesday, January 14, 2014, in Cochrane, Ontario, members of the Toronto Police Fugitive Squad, in cooperation with the Ontario Provincial Police, arrested Edward Joseph Brown, 67, on an outstanding extradition warrant.

The Toronto Police Fugitive Squad had been searching for him since 2009. He is wanted by the Food and Drug Administration in Seattle, Washington, for:

1. Introduction of an Adulterated Medical Device

It is alleged that he posed as a doctor and used a type of laser to treat dying cancer patients for money.

Police recently received new information that he was in southwestern Ontario. He was eventually arrested in Cochrane, Ontario.

He is currently being held in custody, awaiting an extradition hearing and ultimately his return to the United States to stand trial.
