Richard Valeanu of Toronto charged with sexual assault

The Toronto Police Service is alerting the public to a sexual assault investigation.

It is alleged that:

– the accused made an appointment with a 34-year-old woman who worked in a massage parlour in the Yonge Street/Eglinton Avenue area,

– on Wednesday, September 8, 2010, at 10:30 p.m., the accused attended the massage parlour for his appointment and sexually assaulted the woman with a weapon,

– the accused fled the scene and was arrested a short distance away by police, with the assistance of members of the public.

Richard Valeanu, 30, of Toronto, has been charged with:

1) Break and Enter with Intent,
2) Sexual Assault with a Weapon,
3) Forcible Confinement,
4) Weapons Dangerous,
5) Fail to Comply with Probation.

The accused was scheduled to appeared in court at College Park on Thursday, September 9, 2010, room 501, at 10 a.m.

Police believe there may be more victims.
