Brian MorrisInvestigators with the York Regional Police #2 District Criminal Investigations Bureau are seeking public assistance in locating a missing 39-year-old man from the Town of Richmond Hill.

Brian Morris was last seen by his family on January 16, 2014. His family has not heard from him since that time which is out of character for him. Brian is wearing a cast due to a broken leg which causes him limited mobility. Investigators are concerned for his well-being and are asking the public to be on the lookout and to call police if they have seen this man.

Police search and rescue units will be conducting a ground search starting at the Elgin Barrow Arena located at 43 Church Street South in Richmond Hill today at 2:30 p.m. The public can expect to see a heavy police presence in the area while the search is being conducting.

He is described as:
– Male, black, 39 years
– 5’8”, 200 lbs
– Brown eyes, brown hair
– Cast up to the knee on one leg

Update: On Sunday, January 26, 2014 at approximately 6:30 p.m. the body of a male was discovered by pedestrians walking in a wooded ravine in the area of Major Mackenzie Drive East, west of Newkirk 

Road in Richmond Hill. Investigators and the Coroner attended the scene and have been able to identify the deceased as Brian Morris.

The cause of death has not yet been determined, however foul play is not suspected.
