Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the death of a man found at 8201 Southwest Freeway (South U. S. Highway 59) about 12:20 a.m. today (Jan. 29).
The male, Andrew Hopkins, 27, was pronounced dead at the scene.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant T. Simmons and Officer R. Nunez reported:
Mr. Hopkins was found unresponsive by his roommates in a locked bathroom in their motel room at the above address. The roommates forced entry into the room and attempted to provide medical assistance to Hopkins. They then called HFD paramedics, who pronounced him deceased.
The investigation is pending Hopkins’ cause of death.
