RCMP are currently on scene of a fatal motor vehicle collision in French River.
At 12:45 p.m., RCMP responded to a motor vehicle collision between a tractor trailerand a van on Highway 104. As a result of the collision, unfortunately the driver of the van has been killed. The driver of the tractor trailer received non life-threatening injuries.
A RCMP traffic analyst has been called in to assist investigators. The highway will be closed until further notice. Traffic will be re-routed eastbound at Exit 27 and westbound at Exit 29.
The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
