Mounties investigate regarding a fatal house fire and a body in a residence at Irishtown, N.B.

The RCMP responded to a house fire on Communication Road in Irishtown, N.B. at 12:30am on February 9, 2014. The Moncton Fire Department and Ambulance New Brunswick also responded to the call.

After the fire was extinguished, a body was located inside the residence. The identity of the body has not yet been determined.

A marihuana grow operation was also found inside the residence.

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined. The investigation is ongoing in conjunction with the New Brunswick Office of the Fire Marshal and the New Brunswick Coroner Service.
