Tomasz Sejbuk charged with attempted murder in Toronto

On Monday, September 20, 2010, at 9 p.m., police responded to an unknown trouble call in the Lakeshore Boulevard West/Jameson Avenue area.

It is alleged that:

– two men, aged 44 and 23, were in a heated argument when one of the men hit the other on the head with a beer bottle, then stabbed the man with the broken beer bottle,

– both men fell into the lake, at which time the suspect attempted to drown the victim by pinning his head under the water.

The victim, 44, sustained several stab wounds, lacerations and fractures.

On Tuesday, September 21, 2010, at 4:45 p.m., Tomasz Sejbuk, 23, of Toronto, surrendered to police at 11 Division.

He is charged with:

1. Attempted Murder
2. Aggravated Assault
3. Assault with a Weapon
4. Weapons Dangerous
5. Threatening Death

He is scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall on Wednesday, September 22, 2010, 10 a.m., room 101.
