The provincial RCMP Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit have arrested an Amherst area man for Luring a Child.

A search warrant was executed on the morning of Tuesday, March 18th, 2014 on a residence in the Amherst area by members of the provincial RCMP ICE Unit, RCMP Technological Crime Unit, Cumberland Integrated Street Crime Unit, and Amherst RCMP. As a result, police seized two computers and thumb drives from the residence and a 37-year-old male from Cumberland County was arrested for Luring a Child. 

He was later released from police custody and is scheduled to make his first courtappearance in Amherst Provincial Court at 9:30 a.m. on July 28th, 2014.
