Four Dartmouth suspects charged in Matthew Penney Homicide investigation

The HRP/RCMP Integrated Major Crime Unit have laid criminal charges in relation to the Matthew Penney homicide investigation.

Yesterday, officers arrested four people at residences on Bras’Dor Lane and SpringhillRoad.

The four people from Dartmouth have been charged with the following Criminal Code charges:

– Tyler Berry, 24, has been charged with Manslaughter, Criminal Negligence, Causing Death by a Firearm, Indignant Disposal of Human Remains and Public Mischief.

– Jason Patrick MacKenzie, 27, Manslaughter, Accessory to Manslaughter, Accessory to Criminal Negligence Causing Death by Firearm, Indignant Disposal of Human Remains and Public Mischief.

– Keisha Slawter-Vassel, 24, Accessory to Manslaughter, Accessory to Criminal Negligence Causing Death by Firearm, and Public Mischief.

– Caitlin Fay Thompson, 23, has been charged with Public Mischief.

All four will be appearing in Dartmouth Provincial Court today.
