On Thursday, September 16, 2010, at 11:06 p.m., Lindsay TAMMINGA was out walking with a friend, near the intersection of Creditview Road and Kenninghall Boulevard. At this time, she was struck by a motor vehicle and, as a result, rushed to a Toronto trauma centre.
Ms. TAMMINGA, a 23 year-old Mississauga resident, succumbed to her injuries at the hospital.
Jose COBARIA, a 58 year-old male from Mississauga, will be charged with one count of Fail to Remain Causing Death. He will be making a court appearance on Monday, October 18, 2010, at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.
This is so very sad, I understand the hell her family is going through right now due to personal experience. Earlier today, I just happened to drive down Creditview Road when I noticed the beautiful display of flowers to memorialize her memory. That’s when I realized that she must’ve succumbed to her injuries. I wish her friends and family well, and I truly hope justice will be on Lindsay Tamminga’s scomment_IDe so she may RIP.
One year ago and it still doesn’t get any easier. I knew Lindsay extremely well and think about her every day… Still knowing I will never see that wonderful smile or hear her joyful laugh ever again brings tears to my eyes.
Miss you, Lindsay. May your gorgeous soul rest in peace.
