Police have arrested a male after shots fired call in North Preston.

On Thursday, April 10th at 8:48 p.m., RCMP received a report of shots fired at a residence on Clarence Street. The investigation revealed that a 15- year-old female had escaped from another residence on Clarence Street after she was held in the basement for the past two days and had been sexually assaulted. 

Police arrested a 18-year-old male near the home in Preston and he is currently incustody. He will be facing numerous charges including sexual assault, weapons offences, and unlawful confinement.
