RCMP are are releasing the name of the woman that died as a result of an ultra-light plane crash in Hants County.

Maryanne Hardman, 50, died when RCMP received a 911 call that an ultra-light plane had crashed near Stanley Airport. She was the female pilot and lone occupant of the plane and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The investigation is continuing.
