Fatal traffic accident at 1900 North Freeway claims the life of Gregory Gott

Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 1900 North Freeway (North Interstate Highway 45) about 2:40 p.m. on April 28, 2014.

The victim, Gregory Gott, 50, was pronounced dead on Monday (May 12).

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Arnold and Senior Police Officer J. Ortiz reported:

Mr. Gott was driving a blue Hyundai Santa Fe northbound on the North Freeway when the vehicle hit the retaining wall on the right side of the freeway.  The vehicle then continued up the exit ramp to North Main, before striking the chain link fence and falling back onto the main lanes of the North Freeway.  Gott was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he later died.  No other persons nor vehicles were involved in this accident.
