Sokha Tim, Darin Math and Dara Chom charged with drug trafficking in Edmonton

Three Edmonton men have been charged in an ongoing Edmonton Drug and Gang Enforcement (EDGE) team investigation.

On Thursday, September 30, EDGE officers conducted a search of a home at 109 Street and 168 Avenue as well as a vehicle. As a result, officers seized over 150 grams of cocaine (street value of about $15,000), 103 ecstasy tablets (street value of over $1,000), almost $30,000 in cash, small amounts of marijuana and methamphetamine, and a quantity of counterfeit money. Officers also seized a loaded semi-automatic handgun from the vehicle.

The cash and a 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee were seized under the Victims Restitution and Compensation Payment Act.

Sokha Tim, 26, was charged with unauthorized possession of loaded firearm, possession of a firearm contrary to prohibition order, possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking (x3), possession of a controlled substance, and possession of counterfeit currency.

Darin Math, 23, was charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking (x3) and possession of a controlled substance.

Dara Chom, 27, was charged with unauthorized possession of a prohibited weapon (butterfly knife), possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking (x3), and possession of a controlled substance.
