Leonard Shoesmith, Jeff Shoesmith and Nathan Barrett charged with robberies in Durham region

Investigators from DRPS Major Crime Robbery Unit have arrested several males in connection to numerous store robberies throughout Durham Region in recent months.

Following the investigation of a robbery incident at the Subway store on Kingston Road in Pickering on September 22, 2010, investigators have charged: Nathan BARRETT, age 19 of Zaph Avenue in Toronto with Robbery; Disguise with Intent and Breach of Recognizance. (10-195282)

Jeff SHOESMITH, age 20 of Lorne Lane in Haliburton and Leonard SHOESMITH, age 24 of Buckingham Avenue in Oshawa are jointly charged with Robbery for their involvement in the incident on July 5, 2010 at the Garden Jug City convenience store on Meadowglen Road in Whitby. (10-115942)

Leonard SHOESMITH and Jeff SHOESMITH are further charged with Robbery and Disguise with Intent in relation to the robbery incident at the Mr. Sub restaurant, located on Ritson Road South in Oshawa, which occurred on June 7th, 2010. (10-120169)

Leonard SHOESMITH was further charged with Robbery and Disguise with Intent in relation to a robbery incident which occurred on June 13, 2010, at the Mr. Sub restaurant, located at Garden Street North, in Whitby.

Both Leonard SHOESMITH and Jeff SHOESMITH were further charged with Breach of Recognizance and Leonard SHOESMITH with Drive No Insurance under the Canadian Automobile Insurance Act.
