Winnipeg man Kyle Hudak faces charges in relation to a child luring investigation

During the month of March 2014, an adult male suspect began engaging in numerous online and text message conversations with a 13 year-old female.

The suspect’s conversations were sexually graphic and demeaning in nature throughout this time frame.

The suspect eventually arranged for the two to meet in person when the conversations were discovered by an adult associated to the female victim. As a result, the meeting was averted and a report was made to police.

Members of the Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit became involved and the male suspect was identified.

On April 28, 2014, Kyle Hudak, 22 years of Winnipeg, was arrested and charged with the following due to his alleged involvement:

– Possession of Child Pornography

– Arrangement to Commit a Sexual Offence against a Person under 14 years of age

– Luring a Person under 14 years of age by means of Telecommunication – sexual assault

– Luring a Person under 14 years of age by means of Telecommunication – sexual interference

– Luring a Person under 14 years of age by means of Telecommunication – invitation to sexual touching

On April 29, 2014 officers executed a warrant at the suspect’s residence in Winnipeg at which time numerous computers and exhibits were seized.

The male was released on a Promise to Appear however, charges have since been laid.
