Houston police are investigating the death of a woman found at 19800 Atascocita Shores about 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday (July 1).
The identity of the victim, believed to in her 50s, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant A. VerSluis and Officer J. Horn reported:
Tenants of the Lake Shore Villas Apartments saw what they believed was a body in Lake Houston at the above address. Emergency Services personnel responded to the scene and recovered the victim. She had suffered apparent gunshot wounds.
