Houston police investigate about a fatal shooting incident at 4949 West 34th claiming a man’s life

Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 4949 West 34th Street about 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday (July 1).

The victim, 43, suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.  His identity is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeants T. Pool and W. Elsbury reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call in the parking lot of the Texas Parole Division at the above address.  Upon arrival, they found the victim deceased. The unknown suspect fled the scene as a passenger in a white sedan.

Further investigation determined the victim had met with his parole officer just prior to the shooting.
