Georgina skydiving accident claims the life of a Bradford man

A 39-year-old man from Bradford has been killed following a skydiving accident in Georgina.

On Saturday, July 5, 2014 at 6:30 p.m., York Regional Police responded to the Parachute School of Toronto located at 5714 Smith Boulevard in the Town of Georgina for an injured person call. Police were advised that an experienced jumper had a hard landing. The male party was located with life -threatening injures and unfortunately succumbed to those injuries.

A post mortem concluded that the cause of death was trauma resulting from the impact of the fall.

York Regional Police will not be releasing the name of the deceased.

At this time there is no evidence to suggest that any criminal offence has taken place. Any further investigation will be conducted by the Office of the Chief Coroner for Ontario.
