On Friday October 15, 2010, J Division’s Drug Section seized three kilograms of cocaine at the bus terminal on Lester Street in Moncton. Shane Gibbons, a 34-year-old Toronto man was arrested in connection with the seizure, and charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking. Gibbons has been remanded for a bail hearing, and is scheduled to appear in Moncton provincial court on October 22, 2010.

"Disrupting the traffic of illegal drugs is a big part of creating safer communities," says Cst. Robert Chiasson. "This seizure has kept a large amount of cocaine off the streets, and prevented criminals from making a profit by selling it in our neighbourhoods."

The investigation continues.
